Solo/Dual Narration
Solo/dual narration is the classic method for recording audiobooks. A single narrator or two narrators take on the role of the protagonist or narrate in a third-person format, performing all characters within their chapters, regardless of gender or age. This is still currently how the majority of audiobooks are recorded.
Classic & timeless storytelling by expert narrators.
Duet Narration
Duet narration brings audiobooks closer to the feel of a radio drama. It involves two narrators performing their narrative POV (same as solo/dual). Where it differs is the actors will perform their specific character(s) throughout the entire book. Each character therefore keeps the same actor's voice, regardless of POV. This style can be especially effective in dialogue-heavy books with frequent character interactions, adding that extra special immersion experience for the listener.
Multicast Narration
Multicast narration elevates the auditory experience with multiple narrators, creating a truly immersive performance. Similar to duet with actors maintaining their own character(s) throughout the book, except now you can have three, four, five – as many as you want – narrators. This interplay of unique and differing voices can truly enrich the storytelling. A versatile and dynamic format, great for books with various character POVs.
